Cut and paste chic with Bonnie and Clyde

Smart dressing gets even more sassy thanks to a new range of eye-catching, mouth-wateringly colourful quality motif T-shirts produced by Bonnie and Clyde, Manchester's newest fashion house. Crafted with love and care, these T's will add a touch of sparkle to any boy or girl's closet.

A deliciously designed flash website www.bonnieandclyde.biz takes on-line shoppers on a trip to the seaside with Bonnie and Clyde's very own house models, two Mexican 'day of the dead' skeletons. To a backdrop of music by Andy Votel (head honcho of Manchester's Twisted Nerve label), Bonnie and Clyde skim stones on the beach, try the range of striking T's on for size in their own stylish and hip boutique and once fashionably clad, 'do some art' at the beachside gallery.

As the label states, the T-shirts are "made with love and stitched-on vinyl" and their exceedingly strokable vinyl motifs are as Pop Art and exciting as anything that Lichtenstein or Warhol created back in the day. Palm trees and ice-cream cones ooze a feel-good summer vibe whilst guns and cleavers express the potential for flipped out violence in city living. The lightening bolts are energisers and the record deck talks volumes of designer Steph Burnley's all-consuming passion for music.

Female and male designer T-shirts are available for on-line shoppers at www.bonnieandclyde.biz. They retail at £35 inc delivery (to EU) and the site is a secure site using WorldPay (www.worldpay.com) and PayPal (www.paypal.com) Sizes go from X-Small to X-Large and there is a choice of 72 different colour combinations for women and 45 different colour combinations for men.

Background Info:

The site was designed by Bonnie and Clyde’s creative director Steph Burnley and animated and built by Fanto and Spacemonkey.

A prolific artist and photographer, Steph Burnley has carved out a niche in the graphic design industry, building a CV that includes work for independent performance companies, creative industries, bars and legendary club nights. She has also produced photos for an assortment of publications and held her first solo exhibition of photography in late 2002 in Brighton. These photos were then compiled into three hand-printed books for which she received an arts council grant for in 2003.

Fascinated by the graphic representation of popular culture, consumerism and media manipulation, Steph has a kaleidoscope of inspirations behind her work, ranging from childhood trips to English seaside to the graffiti art of Jean-Michel Basquiat and the films of Pedro Almodovar films.
